Weird and Wonderful Storage Items

Our team were recently interviewed by local radio presenter Jenny Kendall Tobias about the more interesting items stored here at Guernsey Self Store.

Here is a list of the items Nick chatted about with Jenny last Friday.  Click here if you’d like to listen to the interview in full.

  • Medical hoists and lifting equipment for Guernsey MS Society – unit kindly donated by our HomeLife winner
  • Steam Engines.  They were the original restored machines kept in a garage sized unit.
  • Deep Sea Diving Treasure – one customer would store his marine salvage from his diving trips with us;
  • Drum kit.  One customer set up his electronic kit to play in his unit.  This lead to our creation of dedicated music practice rooms at Pitronnerie Road.
  • 6ft Cardboard cut out of a local radio presenter.
  • Urn – complete with ashes.
  • Boxes of skipping ropes for Bowel Cancer Guernsey’s Skipathon on 7th May at Beau Sejour.  Click here to get involved.
